Republicans: Why is it better to commit adultery and leave rather than work on the marriage?
Why is McCain committing adultery and leaving his wife not a show of poorer character and dishonesty and being all about and for “self” more than a man who commits adultery but then states his mistake and works on his marriage, like Edwards and Clinton.?
Are most republican wives the one who committed adultery with the husband while he was married to someone else?

You know I thought the same thing about Clinton, Edwards, etc, etc, etc
McCain was married for two years and then was shipped to VietNam. He was gone for six years.
When he returned he wasn’t the same person and neither was his wife. They tried to hold it together for eight years but it didn’t work.
He remarried and has been with his current wife for 28 years.
Since his ex wife is not bitter about this I won’t hold it against him either.
It is a issue. However, that has been muted in favor of his POW status.
Now one should and can be forgiven for misconduct, but Evangelicals seem far often only to extend forgiveness to “their own”
ex. Paling’s teenage daughter’s pregnancy. It has been framed as a “personal family matter” if this had been one of Biden’s children, not only would they have stated it disqualified him for VP, the religious right would have banned Biden from the known universe.
This isn`t even a political issue, it`s a moral one.
Do you really think Mrs. Edwards just let the infidelity slide? I doubt it. The trust is most likely damaged and with Johnny boy being a lawyer what chance would Mrs Edward have to get much from a divorce settlement.
The Clinton`s, well you can be sure their marriage is intact for public viewing only. Billy has his own apartment, paid for by the taxpayers.
There are plenty of adulterers on both sides so you need to climb out of the box your in a see the real world.
