How can you tell if your spouse genuinely regrets a mistake(cheating)?
Imagine your spouse cheats on you over a period of time(so not just a one night stand or something, but basically having a relationship with someone). You find out about it and she stops the “adventure” and tells you he/she regrets it. While it is probably impossible for one to forget something like that, it might be easier to forgive if you know that she really regrets it. But how can one be sure that she really regrets it or that she just feels bad that she was caught?

she regrets gettin caught
never been a cheater so I don’t know how they feel BUT have known a few and they may be sore they got caught but I don’t think they regret what they did. They regret getting caught. and they plan on being more careful next time. a selfish person doesn’t change, ever. it’s part of their character or lack thereof. Character is developed as a child and it’s like your voice, it’s usually fixed.
